1. How old were you when you knew your life was going to be art? Probably around eleven. 2. When did you start for real? Thirteen. 3. Were you single minded in this pursuit or did you train/educate for a "real" job? Totally single minded. I did get an undergraduate degree in liberal arts, but I never did much except show up for class. I was too busy playing gigs!

Austin MusicMag was cut short in 2004. The day we debuted my mom called and asked that I come home and take care of her. Glad to say yes I was in NY for the next eleven years. Thanks to Eddie Wilson the remaining 4,500 issues were distributed from Threadgill's South. TJM is the continuation of AMM. Pocket-sized this time. Same quality, more feasible, twice the musician's coverage. Music content is 75%.
